PokemonGo! CrochetGo! #048 Venonat (Mimitoss) free amigurumi crochet pattern
Here's a new Pokemon I designed this weekend : #048 Venonat or Mimitoss in French.
I like his French name better. It was a challenge to find how to make this little hairy one, but once I found what technique I would use, it came very easily.
The base is pretty simple as it's a ball shape. The hairy part is a little game of patience, but not that difficult though. Details are also very easy to crochet so I hope you'll have fun crocheting this cute little guy.
Gotta crochet them all !!
*MATERIAL Yarn : Purple, raspberry, beige white
Hook size : 3,5 mm Type of yarn : Charly de Phildar or Red Heart Super Saver

fold in two and sew with 3 stitches
With another piece of beige yarn sew a stitch in the length of the feet to create 2 toes (watch video)

1/ ch 20 2/ dc in 3d stitch from the hook, dc, hdc, sc, 14 sl st, fo (leave a tail for sewing) Make 2
OK so now you have : 1 body, 2 eyes, 2 paws, 2 feet and 2 antennae
1/ sew eyes (they are set below the 6th row and there is 4 stitch-holes between them)
2/ with raspberry yarn, sew nose between eyes (width is about 2 stiches)
3/ with white yarn, sew the fangs on each side of the nose
4/ Sew the feet under the body
NOTA
Antennae and paws are sewed after the hair is done.
NOW, here comes the funny part : let's get all fluffy and hairy !

Notice for the hair :
Make a test for the length of yarn before you cut all the pieces : be sure the length is ok and easy for you to insert loops in stitches. There might be a lot of waste during the haircut process, but you'll see you'll be a little more at ease with some length for the implantation process. I had a lot of wasted hair !! I kept it for further stuffing. Also I cut pieces of yarn as I go with implants, preventing coach invasion by yarn pieces, but maybe you are more organised than me =^-^=
